Medinet Habu is an archaeological locality on the West Bank of the Nile opposite Luxor, Egypt, best known for the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III, the largest and best preserved New Kingdom temple complex in the Theban Necropolis[1]. The temple is famous for its reliefs depicting the defeat of the Sea Peoples, including the Battle of the Delta during Ramesses III's reign[1]. Some construction materials were re-used from the destroyed mortuary temple of Tausret, the last ruler of the Nineteenth Dynasty[1]. A Greco-Roman temple to Isis lies 4 kilometers to the south[1].
