EgyptThe First Pylon of Karnak is the monumental entrance to the Precinct of Amun-Re, built by Nectanebo I during the 30th Dynasty (380-362 BC) but never completed. It measures 113 metres wide and 15 metres thick, with the south tower reaching approximately 31.65 metres and the north tower about 21.70 metres, against a projected height of 38-40 metres. The structure remains undecorated, and the mud brick construction ramps are still visible inside the great court. Despite its incomplete state, it serves as the main entrance to the Karnak temple complex today.
