Mortuary Temple of Seti I

The Mortuary Temple of Seti I stands in the Theban Necropolis at Qurna, across the Nile from modern Luxor [1]. Built toward the end of Seti I's reign, it was likely completed by his son Ramesses II [1] [2] [3]. The complex was enclosed by a mud-brick wall 124 metres wide and 162 metres long [3]. It features a chapel dedicated to Seti's father Ramesses I. Much of the eastern section now lies buried beneath the modern town of Qurna [1].
