Mut Precinct

The Precinct of Mut is an Ancient Egyptian temple compound in Luxor's Karnak Complex, approximately 325m south of the Amun precinct [1]. Spanning roughly 9 hectares, it contains at least six temples including the Mut Temple, Contra Temple, and Temples A through D [1]. The Mut Temple is surrounded on three sides by a sacred lake known as the Isheru [1]. Current excavations are led by Betsy Bryan of Johns Hopkins University [1].
