Colossi of Memnon

Two large stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III standing at the front of his ruined mortuary temple in the Theban Necropolis—the largest temple complex in the area[1]. The statues have stood since 1350 BC and were famous in antiquity, visited by Greeks and Romans who left 107 inscriptions in Greek and Latin between AD 20 and 250[1].
