Built between 27 BC and AD 68 during the reigns of Emperors Augustus and Vespasian, the Pula Arena is a Roman amphitheatre in Pula, Croatia, and one of the world's best-preserved ancient Roman arenas[1]. It is the only surviving Roman amphitheatre to retain its complete circular wall structure[1]. Originally constructed outside the city walls, the arena could hold up to 23,000 spectators and hosted gladiatorial contests and animal hunts[1].
