Nesactium

Nesactium was an ancient fortified hill town and the political capital of the Histri tribe in pre-Roman Istria, located in southern Istria, Croatia, between the villages of Muntić and Valtura [1]. The settlement flourished as a key tribal center from around 1500 to 500 BC. Archaeological excavations have revealed substantial remains including massive carved stone pillars, defensive walls, and Roman-era structures [1].
