Roman Villa of Santo André de Almoçageme

A Roman villa in Colares, Sintra, occupied from the 1st century AD until at least the mid-5th century [1] [2]. An early 20th-century road cut through the central peristyle, dividing the site into the pars urbana (manor house) to the north and pars rustica (agricultural annexes) to the south [1]. The manor house contained the largest group of mosaics identified in the Lisbon region [1]. Finds are housed at the Archaeological Museum of Sao Miguel de Odrinhas [3] [4].
