Ballyedmonduff Wedge Tomb

Early Bronze Age wedge tomb (c. 2500-2000 BC) on the southeastern slope of Two Rock Mountain in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Ireland, and a National Monument. Regarded as one of the finest examples of its type in Ireland, the burial gallery is aligned east-west and divided into three chambers surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped kerb. Excavations by Sean O Riordain and Ruadhri de Valera uncovered over 140 Beaker pottery sherds, flint, a stone macehead, and cremated human remains. Seven cup marks on a nearby granite rock reflect late Neolithic artistic traditions.
