Koumasa is a Prepalatial Minoan cemetery on Crete. Located between Loukia and Koumasa at the southern edge of the Mesara Plain near the Asterousia Mountains [1]. First excavated by Stephanos Xanthoudides in 1904–1906, the cemetery was re-examined in 1991–1992 by Alexandra Karetsou and Athanasia Kanta [1]. Since 2012, Heidelberg University has conducted systematic excavations and digital mapping [2].
