Cranon (Κραννών) was an ancient Greek polis (city-state) in the region of Pelasgiotis, Thessaly, Greece [1]. The settlement was situated southwest of Larissa at a distance of 100 stadia from Gyrton, as recorded by the geographer Strabo [1]. Cranon was bounded by the territory of Atrax to the west and Scotussa to the east, while the ridges of Revenia to the south separated it from the valley of the river Enipeus [1].
