Archaeological Park of Dion

The Archaeological Park of Dion is the most important archaeological site at Mount Olympus in Greece, covering 150 hectares. It contains sanctuaries from the Hellenistic and Roman periods, a 50-hectare urban area with residential buildings, a market square, public buildings, churches, bathhouses, shops, workshops, and toilets. The site demonstrates Dion's role as the principal Macedonian sanctuary dedicated to Zeus [1][2]
