Pocklington Iron Age Burial Ground

Discovered in 2014 on the outskirts of Pocklington in East Riding of Yorkshire, England, the Pocklington Iron Age Burial Ground is a prehistoric cemetery dating to the Middle Iron Age (500 BC – 1 AD) and attributed to the Arras culture of East Yorkshire[1]. Excavations have uncovered more than 160 skeletons and over 70 square barrows[1]. Grave goods found include weapons, beads, pots, and a rare chariot burial[1].
