Peppercombe Castle

Peppercombe Castle is an Iron Age hill fort on the cliffs immediately west of Peppercombe valley on Devon's north-western coast, standing approximately 80 metres above sea level[1]. The site lies on the South West Coast Path between Westward Ho! and Bucks Mills, with the small Peppercombe Water stream flowing through a relatively deep valley to the east[1]. The surrounding landscape forms part of the Hobby to Peppercombe biological Site of Special Scientific Interest[1].
