Voley Castle

Voley Castle is an Iron Age hill fort located near Parracombe in north Devon, England[1]. It sits on a promontory on the eastern slope of Heale Down at approximately 230 metres (750 ft) above sea level[1]. The site is situated near another Iron Age hill fort at Beacon Castle[1]. Voley Castle is classified as a slight univallate hillfort, a rare type found primarily in Devon, and notably possesses an outer earthwork, which is unusual for this category of hill fort[1].
