Kentisbury Down

Kentisbury Down is an Iron Age univallate hill-slope enclosure on the edge of Exmoor in Devon, England, close to Blackmore Gate. Situated on the southeast slope of the down at approximately 320 metres above sea level, the enclosure is a simple 'round' above an ancient crossroads. The northwest sector has been levelled by cultivation, and the much-eroded earthwork was probably built early in the Iron Age period. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
