Cunnilear Camp

Cunnilear Camp is a slight univallate Iron Age hillfort near the village of Loxhore in Devon, England, situated on a promontory above the River Yeo at approximately 110 metres elevation. The enclosure measures up to 133 metres long by 57 metres wide internally, defined by a rampart and ditch with an inturned entrance on the east side. Located at the junction of the River Yeo and Button Water, it dates to the Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age (8th-5th centuries BC). Such hillforts have been interpreted as stock enclosures, redistribution centres, or permanent settlements.
