Medway Megaliths

Medway Megaliths (4500-3000 BC) are a group of Early Neolithic chambered long barrows and megalithic monuments in the lower River Medway valley, Kent, southeast England [1]. Constructed from local sarsen stone and soil, they are the only known prehistoric megalithic group in eastern England and Britain's most south-easterly megalithic monuments [1]. These largely ruinous structures represent an exceptional concentration of Neolithic burial architecture in a region otherwise lacking megalithic monuments [1].
