Crofton Roman Villa in Orpington, Kent, is a Roman villa complex inhabited from roughly 140 to 400 AD [1]. It served as the centre of a 500-acre (200 ha) farming estate with nearby outbuildings, surrounded by fields, meadows and woodland [1]. The residence was altered several times during its 260-year occupation, expanding to approximately 20 rooms at its peak [1].
