Dinies Camp

Dinies Camp is a univallate Iron Age hill fort enclosure in the Mendip district of Somerset, situated approximately 1.6 km southwest of the village of Downhead. The site is designated as a scheduled monument (National Heritage List reference 1006169) and is notable for its layered history: medieval earthworks were constructed on the site of an earlier Iron Age enclosure, reflecting continued use of the hilltop position over many centuries. Limited archaeological investigation means detailed knowledge of the interior features remains sparse.
