Berry Camp

Berry Camp is an Iron Age univallate promontory hillfort on a cliff-top plateau at Littlecombe Hill near Branscombe, Devon, roughly 140 m above sea level. The near-rectangular enclosure covers almost 3 hectares, defended on the landward side by a single rampart of soil and flint fronted by a ditch with a counterscarp. Its one confirmed entrance, of inturned type, was surveyed in 1989 by the RCHME. Both the hillfort and an adjoining prehistoric field system are Scheduled Monuments within the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
