Membury Castle

Membury Castle is an Iron Age univallate hillfort above the village of Membury in Devon, England. It occupies a commanding hilltop at 204 m above sea level between the Yarty and Axe valleys. The elongated interior stretches approximately 225 m north-south with a maximum width of 60 m, enclosing about 1.3 hectares with a rampart and three main entrances. It is one of seven hillforts in the Blackdown Hills designated as Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
