Hawkesdown Hill

Hawkesdown Hill, also known as Hawkesdown Camp, is an Iron Age hill fort situated on a prominent hillside above the Axe Estuary near Axmouth in Devon, England[1]. The fort stands approximately 130 metres (430 ft) above sea level and dates to between 1500 and 500 BC[1]. As a hill fort, it served as a defended settlement and administrative center for the local Iron Age community[1].
