Temple of Khnum- Esna

Temple complex in Esna, Egypt, dedicated to the god Khnum along with Neith and Heka. Construction began during the Ptolemaic period, though most surviving structures were built during Roman rule in Egypt [1]. Khnum was one of the earliest-known Egyptian deities in Upper Egypt, originally associated with the Nile cataract and responsible for regulating the annual inundation of the river [2]. He later became known as the creator of human bodies and the life force ka, using a potter's wheel and clay to fashion entities and place them within their mothers' wombs.
