Temple of Khnum- Esna

Temple complex in Esna, Egypt, dedicated to the god Khnum along with Neith and Heka [1] [2]. Construction began during the Ptolemaic period, though most surviving structures were built during Roman rule in Egypt [1] [2]. Khnum was one of the earliest-known Egyptian deities in Upper Egypt, originally associated with the Nile cataract and responsible for regulating the annual inundation of the river [2]. He later became known as the creator of human bodies and the life force ka, using a potter's wheel and clay to fashion entities and place them within their mothers' wombs [2].
