Markusica is a village in Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia, located south of the river Vuka and northwest of Vinkovci. A Scordisci archaeological site dating to the Late La Tene culture was excavated here during rescue excavations in the 1970s and 1980s. The site formed part of the broader Scordisci settlement network in the Vinkovci area, reflecting the presence of Celtic peoples in southeastern Pannonia during the late Iron Age. The landscape is characterized by Pannonian Basin plains with agricultural fields.
