CroatiaMarkusica is a village in Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia, located south of the river Vuka and northwest of Vinkovci [1] [2]. A Scordisci archaeological site dating to the Late La Tene culture was excavated here during rescue excavations in the 1970s and 1980s [1] [2]. The site formed part of the broader Scordisci settlement network in the Vinkovci area [1]. The landscape is characterized by Pannonian Basin plains with agricultural fields [1].
