Magnis (or Magna) was a Roman fort near Hadrian's Wall in northern Britain, now known as Carvoran Roman Fort, located near Carvoran, Northumberland [1]. Built on the Stanegate frontier and Roman road linking Coria (Corbridge) to Luguvalium (Carlisle), it was constructed before Hadrian's Wall [1].
