Vindomora was a Roman auxiliary fort on Dere Street in the province of Lower Britain. Its ruins, known as Ebchester Roman Fort, lie at Ebchester in County Durham, 12 miles (19 km) west-south-west of Newcastle upon Tyne [1]. The fort was strategically positioned between Corstopitum (Corbridge) to the north-west and Longovicium (Lanchester) to the south on this major Roman road [1].
