(1st–4th c. AD) Villa Cardillio is a Roman villa and farmstead in Santa Maria parish, Torres Novas, central Portugal, named after an onsite mosaic pavement whose meaning remains unclear[1]. First excavated in 1962, the dig uncovered hundreds of Roman coins, pottery, bronze artifacts, and imported glass from Assyria and Egypt[1]. Among the finds were ancient jewellery and a statue of Eros, suggesting wealthy owners[1].
