Craig Ty-Isaf

Craig Ty-Isaf is a small Iron Age hillfort in the Baglan area of Neath Port Talbot, South Wales [1]. Located on the southwest slope of Mynydd y Gaer within Briton Ferry Woods, it overlooks the Baglan valley [1]. The fortified core consists of an oval enclosure of approximately 0.2 hectares (0.49 acres), defined by a broad rubble bank [1]. On the eastern side, two additional banks create a complex of banks and ditches that encompass a much larger area than the central enclosure [1]. The site is a Scheduled Monument, and contains internal features thought to result from later test cuts for mineral extraction [1].
