Peregonivka

Peregonivka is a Cucuteni-Trypillia mega-settlement in Ukraine dating to 4000-3600 BC, covering approximately 100 hectares. It belongs to the culture's middle phase, when populations built some of the largest settlements in Neolithic-Chalcolithic Eurasia. The Cucuteni-Trypillia culture (c. 5050-2950 BC) extended from the Carpathian Mountains to the Dnieper region, with mega-sites containing up to 3,000 structures and possibly housing 20,000-46,000 people. Peregonivka is one of over 2,440 Cucuteni-Trypillia settlements discovered across Moldova and Ukraine.
