Ksaverove

Ksaverove is the site of a Cucuteni-Trypillia culture mega-settlement in Ukraine, dating to approximately 3600-3200 BC. Covering an area of about 100 hectares, it was exceptionally large for its era, part of a network of proto-urban settlements built by the Trypillia culture across Moldova and Ukraine. These mega-sites, among the largest settlements in 4th-millennium BC Europe, featured concentric circuits of houses surrounding open inner spaces, and could support populations of thousands. Ksaverove is one of over 2,440 Cucuteni-Trypillia settlements discovered to date.
