Apolyanka

Apolyanka is a Cucuteni-Trypillia mega-settlement in Ukraine dating to 3600-2700 BC. Covering 90-120 hectares, it ranks among the largest proto-urban centers in Chalcolithic Europe. It is one of over 2,440 Cucuteni-Trypillia settlements found in Moldova and Ukraine, part of a culture that built some of the biggest settlements in prehistoric Eurasia, predating Sumerian cities by over 500 years.
