UkraineKocherzhyntsi is the site of a Cucuteni-Trypillia culture mega-settlement in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine, dating to approximately 3200-2700 BC. The settlement covered around 100 hectares, making it one of the largest proto-urban centers of the culture that built some of the biggest settlements in Neolithic-Chalcolithic Eurasia. The Cucuteni-Trypillia culture (c. 5050-2950 BC) extended across 350,000 km2 from the Carpathians to the Dnieper, with over 2,440 settlements discovered in Moldova and Ukraine.
