Almuñécar is a Spanish city on the Mediterranean coast in the province of Granada [1]. The municipality borders Nerja and is traversed by the Verde river [1]. Archaeological evidence from the Phoenician Necropolis of Puente de Noy includes cemeteries and industrial remains [2].
