Dolmen de Menga

The Dolmen of Menga is a Neolithic megalithic burial mound near Antequera, Malaga, Spain, built between 3750 and 3650 BC. At nearly 30 metres long, 6 m wide, and 3.5 m high, it is one of the largest megalithic structures in Europe. Its 32 megaliths include roof stones weighing approximately 250 tonnes each. The passage uniquely aligns northeast toward the Pena de los Enamorados landmark, matching the summer solstice sunrise -- the only such dolmen alignment in continental Europe. In 2016, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Antequera Dolmens Site.
