Tholos de El Romeral

Tholos de El Romeral is a megalithic beehive-shaped burial chamber located 2.5 km northeast of Antequera in Andalusia, Spain. Built around 1800 BC during the early Bronze Age, it features a circular stone structure with a corbelled dome ceiling rising approximately 5 meters high. The tomb is one of three monumental megalithic tombs in the Antequera region, alongside Dolmen de Menga and Dolmen de Viera to the southwest. As a tholos (beehive) tomb, it represents a distinctive type of Bronze Age funerary architecture rare in the Iberian Peninsula [1][2][3][4].
