Roman Emperors Route

A 600 km tourism and archaeology route across Serbia connecting major Roman sites, reflecting the fact that 18 Roman emperors were born on modern Serbian territory. Key sites include Sirmium (imperial capital), Felix Romuliana at Gamzigrad (a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Emperor Galerius), Viminacium (once home to 40,000 people), and Naissus (birthplace of Constantine the Great) with its luxury villa Mediana. The route also features Singidunum (Belgrade), imperial mausoleums, and fortified frontier installations along the Danube.
