Crkvine, Stubline

Crkvine (Serbian Cyrillic: Црквине, meaning "church ground") is a Neolithic archaeological site in the village of Stubline, Obrenovac municipality, Belgrade, Serbia. The settlement dates to the 5th millennium BC and represents an important component of the Vinča culture, one of the most significant Neolithic cultures in Southeast Europe. Archaeological research at the site began in 1962 and continued intermittently, uncovering remains of dwellings, tools, and pottery characteristic of the Vinča culture. In 2014, the locality was officially declared a cultural monument of Serbia, recognizing its historical and archaeological significance for understanding Neolithic life in the Balkans.[1][2][3]
