Roman villa ruins located in Mexilhoeira Grande, near Alvor, Portimão, Algarve, Portugal [1]. The site was part of the colony of Ipses in Lusitania, one of only three communities in Hispania authorized to mint its own currency [1]. A dedicatory inscription records Pompeia Exoce arranging burial for her grandson [1]. The villa stood near Portus Magnus, the important Roman commercial port that preceded modern Portimão [1].
