Trebeništa is an Iron Age necropolis in southeast Illyria, located near Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia. [1] The burial complex is associated with the ancient town of Lychnidos and is attributed to the local Illyrian Dassaretii, identified with the earlier Enchelei. [1] Gold-rich grave goods found here, alongside finds from Aiani and Sindos, indicate substantial cultural continuity across the wider Balkan region. [1]
