North MacedoniaGolem Grad (Macedonian: Голем Грad), meaning "Big City," is a 20-hectare island in Lake Prespa, located near the Greek and Albanian borders in North Macedonia. [1] The site contains ancient ruins and churches dating from the 5th century BC to the 14th century AD. [1] It is also known as Snake Island due to its large snake population.
