Hebbariyeh Roman Temple

The Hebbariyeh Roman Temple is a structure in the Hasbaya District of Lebanon's Nabatieh Governorate, on the southwestern slopes of Mount Hermon [1]. It is classified as an antae temple with an eastern portal aligned to catch the first beams of the morning sun rising over Hermon [1]. A large basement chamber beneath the cella floors, accessible only from outside, is thought to have served as a burial space [1].
