LebanonA 2nd-century AD Roman temple near Mount Hermon in Lebanon's Rashaya District, dated by a Greek inscription to 114-115 AD. Built of limestone and oriented eastward, it features a well-preserved pediment and west wall. Carved blocks depict busts of Selene, goddess of the moon, and Helios, god of the sun. The surrounding area contains remnants of ancient habitations and tombs. The temple was restored in 1938-1939.
