A major Roman archaeological complex at 1,500 meters elevation in Mount Lebanon near Kfardebian, featuring temples, altars, and rock-cut tombs. Key structures include the Tower of Claudius, a 15-meter square monument with Greek inscriptions recording its restoration under Emperor Claudius around AD 43, and the monumental Temple of Zeus Beelgalasos with six restored Corinthian columns. The site also contains a temple dedicated to the Syrian goddess Atargatis, later converted into a Christian baptistery with a Byzantine basilica built beside it. The ruins represent the most extensive Roman site in Mount Lebanon.
