Tomb of the Bulls - Necropolis of Monterozzi

The Tomb of the Bulls is an Etruscan tomb in the Necropolis of Monterozzi near Tarquinia, discovered in 1892 and dated to 540–530 BC or 530–520 BC [1]. According to an inscription, Arath Spuriana commissioned its construction [1]. It is named for the two bulls depicted in one of its frescoes [1]. The tomb is the earliest example of a tomb with complex frescoes in the necropolis, with stylistic elements derived from Ionian Greek culture [1].
