Templebryan Stone Circle

Templebryan Stone Circle, also known as The Druid's Temple, is a recumbent stone circle near Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland. Originally consisting of nine stones in a circle 9.5 metres in diameter, only five remain today -- four standing and one fallen. A large central quartz stone known as 'Cloich Griene' (the sunstone) is said to have given Clonakilty its name. In 1743 all nine stones were standing, but by 1837 only five survived. An Early Christian site with an Ogham stone and chapel ruins lies in the adjacent field.
