Drombeg Stone Circle

Drombeg stone circle is a small axial stone circle located 2.4 km (1.5 mi) east of Glandore in County Cork, Ireland. Constructed during the Neolithic period between 4500 and 3000 BC, the circle originally comprised seventeen closely spaced stones, of which thirteen survive today. The stones are made from local sandstone. The circle exhibits an axial design characteristic of Irish stone circles and aligns with the sunset during the winter solstice.
