Naachtun

Naachtun is a major archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, located at the northeastern edge of the Mirador Basin in the southern Maya lowlands of modern-day El Petén, Guatemala[1]. The site was already a regional center by the late Formative Period and is notable as one of the few Mirador Basin settlements that continued to thrive throughout the Classic Period (250–900 AD)[1].
