Built 478-470 BC, the Stoa of the Athenians is a one-aisled Ionic portico in the Delphic Sanctuary, positioned south of the Temple of Apollo [1]. Its northern wall is formed by the polygonal retaining wall of the terrace platform [1]. The structure opened toward the southeast and was dedicated by Athens after its victory in the Persian Wars [1]. This early Classical building exemplifies Athenian architectural achievement following the Persian invasions [1].
